If I please may, I would first like to introduce myself and give you some input of what I do and what has brought me from the Boxing Capital of the World, Las Vegas, Nevada to the Land of Enchantment. After being a writer and photographer in the sport of professional boxing for 14 years (since 1997 ) I traveled to New Mexico. This is the land where my Spanish ancestors once lived. Falling in love with this wonderful land and it’s people, with Nikon in hand, I decided to move here and try my hand at photographing the beauty and history I, through my lens, can see. As I first laid eyes on the beautiful city called Santa Fe, I experienced a feeling unable to explain. A sign entering Pojoaque said it all when it read of the Buffalo Thunder, leaving one in awe, what a grand and beautiful place. Since 1997, I have had my own site www.seeyouatthefights.com and now am building a new site named “People, places and things”. Along with printing a booklet, I hope to post many photos of many people, beautiful places and of different things for all to enjoy. At the Buffalo Thunder Resort I photographed Nakota LaRance as he danced with such grace and such power, to the beat of his Father’s drums. A performance so powerful. I had heard and had read of how some people that had come to live in New Mexico would say, “Something is in the air in this land!” Yes, something wonderful in the air in this land. Love and peace.
